The KochKulturMuseum invites you into the salons of the great figures of Viennese Modernism! Discover the diverse culinary influences from the Crown Lands of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Cook like Martha Freud and Alma Mahler – and follow the flavorful traces of history!

Together, we’ll recreate recipes from the circles of the most renowned personalities of Viennese Modernism and discover what might have been served at the tables of Sigmund Freud or Gustav Klimt. The private cookbooks of Martha Freud and Alma Mahler form the basis for a seasonal three-course menu, inspired by what could have been enjoyed in one of Vienna’s elegant salons.

After the cooking class, we’ll sit down to enjoy the menu at a beautifully set table.
